Students
were greeted by a large banner above the entrance.

The
students came from a variety of organizations in Kenya.

The
training was interactive, and included time for discussion and questions.
One student later wrote,"My background is Biochemistry and Molecular
Biology. Since the training I am getting good results with our HPLC. The
training was excellent and I enjoyed each and every bit of it. The way
you presented your ideas surely was excellent. Thanks!"

The
University of Nairobi provided instruments to use for laboratory demonstrations.
The analysis of an essential oil sample by GC was particularly instructive. |

Thursday
afternoon was "Vendor Day," and featured presentations by the
vendors as well as time to discuss individual products. Many other students
from the University of Nairobi attended this public exhibition.
